What Are Your Camping Essentials?

Hey everyone,

As camping season is in full swing, I thought it would be great to hear from all of you about your must-have camping essentials. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or just starting out, we all have those items we can’t go without when we’re out in the wild.

So, what are the items you always bring along on your camping trips?

For me, it’s definitely my reliable tent, a good sleeping bag, and a trusty portable stove. I also can’t go without my Pirani Tumbler, and a multi-tool for those unexpected needs, and a great speaker.

How about you? Do you have any specific gear or gadgets that you find indispensable? Maybe a favorite camping recipe or a special piece of equipment that makes your trips more enjoyable? I’d love to hear your thoughts and perhaps pick up some new ideas for my next adventure.

Trey For me, a good quality headlamp is a must-have. It keeps my hands free for setting up the tent or cooking after dark. I also always bring a compact, lightweight camping chair – it makes sitting around the campfire so much more comfortable. What brand of headlamp do you use?

Trey I never go camping without my portable solar charger. It’s great for keeping my phone and other gadgets charged when I’m off the grid. I also bring a water filter bottle, which is super handy for making sure I have safe drinking water. Do you have any recommendations for solar chargers?

One tool I always keep handy, whether or not camping, is an old machete.

I use it as an all-round utility tool for everything from clearing shrubbery, choppin’ wood or whatever else needs cutting, to using the handle for hammering stuff, or using the blade for digging and even cooking….(using the wide part of the blade as a compact hotplate😄)…and on a handful of occasions the machete came in very handy for scaring off camp bandits.
